The Pima-Maricopa Irrigation Project (P-MIP) is authorized to construct all irrigation systems for the Community and, when completed, will serve up to 146,330 acres of land. The function of Project Management is to set the overall goals of the project and coordinate all project activities and interactions with outside agencies. Project Management identifies and sets budgets and monitors all expenditures and oversees six management functions, including Accounting and Budget; Design, Construction & Engineering; Management Information Systems; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance; Office Services; and Project Coordination. Each of these functions is responsible for accomplishing tasks leading to the common goal of constructing the irrigation delivery system.
- PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Accomplishments are a collective effort of the entire P-MIP team. The primary achievements include the completion of more than twenty-six miles of pipeline, seven miles of reconstructed canal, nine miles of new canal and the final design and planning of the Blackwater, Santan, Memorial and Westside reaches of the main delivery system.
FISCAL YEAR 2007 OBJECTIVES:
- Increase P-MIP funding via lobbying efforts with tribal and federal leaders
- Improve communication
- Refine internal contract review and approval process that will meet the new requirements of the Council, Law Office, Finance Department and Property and Supply
- Concentrate on preparing bid documents and having them on the shelf ready for increased funding after 2010
